Jimena Navarrete, a 22-year old from Mexico was crowned 2010 Miss Universe at a glittering ceremony in Las Vegas on Monday night. Miss Universe president Paula Shugart told NBC that Navarrete was a worthy winner. She's a beautiful winner and I think she'll be great, she said.Miss Universe is an annual international beauty contest established in 1952 which attracts some 600 million viewers around the world for its pageant.
Miss Universe 2010 was crowned by last year's winner, Stefania Fernandez who represented the country Venezuela. Last year too, Miss Australia ,Rachael Finch came in as the third runner up.
