karachi CID office bomb blast

KARACHI: An explosion has taken place near the PIDC building on Club Road in Karachi..........








At least 18 people have been killed and 115 others sustained injuries in a powerful blast at CID building located near Sindh Chief Minister House in a very sensitive area of the metropolissix people were killed and several others sustained severe injuries when a powerful blast ripped through Central Investigation Department (CID) office located near the Chief Minister House and PIDC. CID building along with 10 other nearby buildings has completely demolished. Banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility of the attack. According to witnesses, few unidentified persons reached outside the CID office and started indiscriminate firing at CID check post. Afterwards, a vehicle came and a power explosion occurred. Ambulances and rescue teams rushed to the blast site and shifted the dead bodies and injured to Jinnah and Civil hospitals where emergency was declared. At least 60 injured have been transferred to Jinnah Hospital. Several people are still trapped under the debris of the buildings. A heavy contingent of police and law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. Three suspected people have been arrested from the blast site. Interior Minister Sindh Zulfikar Mirza has confirmed that 6 people have been killed in the blast. He said that the blast was similar to Marriot Hotel Islamabad………..
